DCC Topics
Our first DCC article is found below. As time allows, we will be adding many more DCC articles and tips.

Soundtraxx GN1000 Board Lighting
A PDF that documents 1.5 volt and LED lighting with the SoundTraxx GN1000.

MTH DCC Compatibility and DCS
Documents the level of compatibility of MTH locomotives with the DCC system and gives an overview of DCS, MTH's Digital Command Control System.

QSI Revolution and Athearn F7 Lighting and Sound Notes

SoundTraxx Tsunami Important Sound Tip - Be sure to set CV 153 (Equalizer) to a value other than zero (the default). A value of 2 is for a medium 1" speaker and works well. The sound will be less robust if the equalizer is not set.

LOCOMOTIVE SOUND UPGRADE DOCUMENTATION

The upgrade components can be purchased here. The instructions are free and made publicly available. We are building easy-to-install sound upgrade kits that will be listed on the website. We also install sound upgrades.

Note: When watching videos on Windows Media Player, you may have to replay after complete download. It may not play correctly during buffering. The videos are recorded in fairly high resolution; they take a while to download.

OUR DCC AND SOUND "Goof Proof" DECODER POLICY

Decoders and DCC components purchased from us are guaranteed to do the job expected. If a decoder fails, for any reason, within 30 days of first use, it can be returned regardless of why it failed; we will replace it. There are no long waits for factory service; a new decoder will be its way immediately.

If a decoder we sell does not perform to expectations, it can be returned for credit towards a different decoder or for refund. Often it is impossible to know how a decoder works until it is installed. This is especially true for sound decoders. We want you to try our decoders with minimal risk.

To return a decoder or DCC component, just give us a call or send an email prior to sending it back. Once you have contacted us, we will make arrangements for return or replacement.
