TSU GN1000 Features: Board Replacement Decoder with 1.5 volt lighting regulator. Replaces your Athearn Genesis factory board with a Drop-in sound decoder. The Versatile GN1000 Board The GN1000 is a versatile sound decoder board that is easy to install. It is designed for any locomotive using the Athearn Genesis PC board mounting system. The GN1000 supports both 1.5 volt bulbs and LEDs. It has an on-board capacitor eliminating the need to secure an external capacitor. See the Tsunami GN Board Lighting PDF for detailed information. The GN1000 is not a drop-in replacement for Athearn RTR models. Athearn RTRs use a cheaper board mounting system that is not compatible with the Genesis PC board mount. The GN1000 can be used on RTR model but it requires a little enginuity.
