Full Duplex Radio Eeciever - used to communicate with Digitrax radio and IR throttles.
|
|
The UR91 is a full duplex radio receiver unit. It works with both the DT400, DT402R and DT402D throttles as well a the UT4R and the upcoming UT4D. When used with a full duplex throttle (DT402D) all radio communication is two-way. This eliminated the requirement to plug-in to acquire locomotives or to program decoders. All functions of a tethered throttle work in radio mode.
This unit is compatible with the DT400 and DT402 throttle but when communication with a half duplex throttle, the older operational limitations still exist.
The UR92 looks similar to a UP5 and is mounted in the fascia of the layout. The UR92 is simply an addition to your existing LocoNet so no additional wiring is needed.
The antennas are concealed under the layout. The UR92 will support approximately 10 radio throttles. Most layouts will need just one UR92 but in some large configurations a second unit may be needed to compensate for "dead" spots. This unit is also equipped for concurrent infrared operation using all Digitrax IR throttles.
Radio Equipped & Infra-ready throttles will run on fully charged NiCad batteries for approximately 6-8 hours and on regular alkaline batteries for about 10-20 hours.
