The Universal version of the decoder is a wrapped package similar to other sound decoders used for direct wire or DCC plug-in. The new decoder can be loaded with sound profiles and supports individual sound replacement using the QSI Quantum Programmer. You can order the Titan specifically for the locomotive and sound you want and still have the option to choose by CV selection: multiple prime movers, horns, whistles, bells, etc. In addition the user can also cut, paste, edit and/or download completely different or updated sound files. Connection The Titan-U comes with two JST, plug-in harnesses. One harness is connected to a standard DCC, JST, 9 pin connector. The 2nd harness contains the stereo speaker wires, function outputs. Unused wires in the second harness can be tied back, cut-off or easily removed from the connector. The Titan-U can be plugged directly into a locomotive 9 pin DCC harness, as found in Athearn and later Proto 2000 locomotives, without using a harness.
